Thanksgiving 2009

This year we traveled to Hocking Hills area to a place called Bittersweet Farms. It was a definitely a 'cozy' place for 8 people!!

Chell & Keira checking out the vaulted/open ceilings.

It was pretty far up there!

Elmo even joined us for the holiday. :)

Daddy & Keira hiking at Ash Cave. It was a great day for a hike.

Hmm...which way should we go?

Two under 2

This week Chell and I had the pleasure of watching Ellie!! It worked out to just be three of the 5 days, but we had some fun. The girls played great together and totally entertained us! We played games, read books, played in the kitchen, did crafts, sang songs, went to the library and of course the occasional Elmo and princess shows. It was great fun. At first I didn't know how it would go with TWO kids, but was a good test run for what's to come in the spring. :) Enjoy the pix and the fun video.

And they allll fellll downnnn!

Ellie in the toy box!! At one point they were both in there! That was interesting :)

Look at mee! - And all the toys. Needless to say we had fun!

This is Ellie saying "Cheese" for the camera. Looks like a frown, but I promise she was saying cheese!

Keira's snowman and her attempt at looking at the camera :)

A week in pictures

I NEED to get better about taking and posting these pictures so this week I tried to take one picture a day. I had 6, but I think blogger only lets me do five at a time. Enjoy!

Keira helped me out what pictures to post. She chose this one of herself in pig-tails. Even though you can only see one of them.

We also had church directory pictures this week. So we practiced with different hairstyles. This is what we came up with for Thursday. SUCH a cutie!!

One morning I found Keira upstairs being super quiet. So I had to go investigate. This is what I found. She had a whole pile of books sitting by her side and she was just reading!!

Testing out some halloween candy :)

She still loves these cowgirl boots :) Don't they go great with yellow PJ's? ?

Halloween 2009

Ok, Ok so I'm finally getting these up as well!! Here is our SUPERGIRLLL!!!! Keira had a blast with this homemade outfit. The shirt, from Daddy who got it before Keira was even born. The skirt, cowgirl boots, stockings (you'll see further down) are all hand-me-down clothes. And the cape and mask are made by yours truly. Like 5 min. before our first trick-or-treater arrived at the door. Keira loved handing out the candy to the kids the first night (yes we have kids come two nights in a row around here) - "more kids? More kids??" and then second night we all headed out as a family to trick-or-treat. Daddy had her practice quite a few times until she got down exactly what she was supposed to say. Well she did great at home! But in front of the neighbors she got a little 'door-shy.' Ohwell, she still had a great time!!

She loved the boots!! A little hard to get around in at first, but then she didn't want to take them off!

Super Girl!!! This is her pose as she's getting ready to take off! :)

"SUPER GIIIIIIIRRRLL"

Ok. Seriously, look at all the lollipop's that she has in her hands. Yeah, one kid definitely got most of these before I could stop her from putting them in the bag. She's so generous!

This was taken just before we hit the streets to go get some goodies. It was a bit nippy out, but at least not raining like the night before. Happy Halloween everyone!!

Paw Paw & Mimi visit

I am so behind on my posting. Need to catch up!! - - Last week my Dad & Martha were able to make a quick visit out. Here are some pix from their visit.

Ooooh look! A ladybug! And Keira is actually holding it! I think at one point she also squished one between her fingers and that didn't even faze her.

Look Mommy, look!

And of course what are grandpa's famous for!? The 'balance on my hands and then flip you' trick :) So here we have the balancing......

Paw Paw concentrating hard....

And WHOOP! Down she goes. Keira loved it and got the biggest kick out of it. She wanted to do it 'some more.'
