Project 366 - part 4

Our house has been filled with the musical talents of our two littlest Boothman's lately! Enjoy our week in pictures! I think next month I may take on a 30 day photo challenge and see what we can come up with :)

Jan. 24 - Kids were playing school. Kanaan's belting it out in the background!

Jan. 25 - A VIDEO: That you'll find at the end of post since I don't know how to put things in order. Simply scroll down.

Jan. 26. - A busy day of finger painting & fort making.

Jan. 27 - Some horses in Huntington getting ready for our weekend snow. If you can see them, they're wearing purple coats! I found it fascinating and wanted to share.

Jan. 28 - Cont. bathroom project. The sink. After pix to come....hopefully soon!

Jan. 29 - The kitchen floor is a perfect place for game time on a Sunday afternoon.

Jan. 30 - Ever seen a fish swim vertically? Ours does! Like all the time...

Jan. 31 - A 54 degree day! Perfect for taking a spin in the jeep, and playing tag, and digging in the dirt.

Jan. 25 - Pre-sen-TING Kanaan! Sorry video is a little blurry. There's also one of FB for those of you who are friends with Jason.

Hope everyone had a great January! See you again in FEBRUARY!!!

Craftime

Wintertime brings lots of hours indoors. It can bring boredom and dare I say some whining...so what better way to pass the time than with some crafts! Keira is really into necklace making lately. Here are some of her creations....followed by some of mine.

Play-doh beads

Some of my old camp craft beads

And some rolled paper beads

Two more felt flowers. The felt was a little bit harder than the t-shirt to work with. But I like how they turned out :]

The pic is a little dark -sorry- but I'm adding another felt flower to a pillow that will rest in the guest room. Come visit and see my creation!

Project 366 - part 3

Here we go with week 3!

Jan. 17 - Kanaan has decided he likes laying down in sissy's big bed! He had disappeared one morning when I was getting the upstairs cleaned up and this is where I found him. Blanket on and everything!

Jan. 18 - Parent Trap! One of my all time favorite movies quickly became Keira's most watched weekend movie. Her favorite part? The camp scene where the girls cut their hair! Eeek!

Jan. 19 - Let it snow! I took this pic for two reasons...the falling snow around the house was beautiful to watch (even though the camera didn't quite capture it) and secondly, because I find myself longingly looking at that pool these days!! Is it time to open it yet!!??

Jan. 20 - More snows a'comin'!!

Jan. 21 - LOOK! Isn't she doing GREAT!? Over the last couple weeks it seems we've seen a dramatic improvement in Keira's handwriting. I love watching her practice her letters and her enjoyment in it. I've started working on our last name with her too. And with more practice we'll get there :)

Jan. 22 - Can you guess what Keira made at children's church this week?
Joseph's Coat of Many colors! Hee hee, she was so proud. Not quite sure what she's doing with her hands though.

Also from Jan. 22 - Chell building a snowman with ALL our snow! I think we got about 4".

Jan. 23 - Aaaaaaand it's gone :( The rain came overnight and washed it all away. Sad day.

Project 366 - part 2

Jan. 10 - Dr. Keira's waiting room, where all her patients are waiting to be examined. This was supposed to be nap time :) At least they were all given a clean bill of health!

Jan. 11 - from Dr. to singing Diva

Jan. 12 - Keira's FIRST ballet class! And she absolutely loved it. Couldn't stop talking about it the rest of the day and showing off all her new moves.

Jan. 13 - Friday night we went swimming at the Y and ran into some of our friends. Here one of their little boys, Aric and Kanaan are 'shooting' some hoops.

Jan. 14 - Music practice. Looks like Kanaan is picking up some lessons from his Daddy :)

Jan. 15 - A mouse in my house. I'm sure most of you've read on FB that we have our first (I think) mouse in the house....traps have been bought and set. Let's hope they are successful VERY soon!

Jan. 16 - Keira's FIRST trip to the dentist! She did GREAT! She was very calm and did everything the hygienist asked her to. No cavities! And was even given a Princess toothbrush, her own floss and toothpaste and 2 Dora stickers! A good first experience if you ask me :)

Project 366

This year my sister and I have decided to challenge ourselves with 'Project 366'- taking one picture each day....we'll see how it goes!

Jan. 1st - Shopping Day! The picture doesn't quite do it justice, but the sun's rays were really neat coming down thru the clouds.

Jan. 2 - Ahhh naptime!

Jan. 3 - Date night with Hubby! Dessert was served in a doggy dish at the Rusty Dog Restaurant.

Jan. 4 - 'Black Out' night at AWANA.

Jan. 5 - Library outing

Jan. 6 - I ordered some family pix and finally got them up on my wall!!

Jan. 7 - Successful flower project made out of a t-shirt. Next step will be felt.

Also from Jan. 7 - - a 60 degree day in JANUARY!!

Jan. 8 - Star gazing with A. Chell. Here she is on the diving board with my 'Star Guide' iPhone App. :)

Jan. 9 - Hanging out together, watching TV... in a laundry basket.

Winter has arrived!

The New Year has arrived and with it came snow!! So this morning we ventured out in it and got a taste of our first 2012 snowfall.

Let's get ready!

Strike a pose in your winter gear

We have a mini hill just on the other side of the golf course - straight out our back door. We gave it a try and quickly realized that we're going to need a little bit more snow to get us going. We hit the gravel path and quickly moved on to something else.

Snow Angels!

Kanaan had a great time just pulling the sled....yes, those are pink mittens. His winter gear is not quite complete. These were sissy's from last year. He didn't seem to mind though!

We also traced our names in the snow with our feet, took a short gander around the golf fare-way and then called it a morning. And what better way warm up than with....Hot Cider!? No hot chocolate in the house. :)
